Should I participate to the $2,500 Blog Catalog BIG IDEA Challenge?

Yesterday, I found an interesting post on the BlogCatalog's Blog: The $2,500 Blog Catalog BIG IDEA Challenge.

I have of course some ideas I keep for Wavumi, but I am not sure I will have the time needed to implement them. Thus, would it not be more productive to share them with BlogCatalog and get a chance to win $2,500?

Anyway, it is an opportunity for me to put my ideas down on paper. Then, I can decide if (1) I keep them secret, (2) I post them on this blog, or (3) I send them to the BlogCatalog Challenge...

What would you do?

My opinion is that you must reserve your ideas for Wavumi. You will achieve a lot by sticking to your own establishment.Do not lose your innovative ideas.

Thanks for your feedback.

Clement, thanks for your comment, but I am still wondering if (1) they are innovative ideas, and if (2) I will ever have the time to implement them...

Awannabe, when I was talking about posting my ideas, I was thinking about doing it after the challenge dead line... Sorry ;-)

By the way, do not hesitate to register to Wavumi, many thanks in advance ;-)

Look from what i know ideas are just ideas. Its only how and when you do them that count. That idea of yours if left till next year will probably be old. So the question you should be asking yourself is, how soon do you think you can impliment the idea? Very important if its 2-3 years from now then give it to blogcatalog

Keep going with wavumi.

How about you put an idea out there for the competition, win some money and try to pay for /attract some help to impelment your other ideas for Wavumi.

good luck.

I would submit the idea to blogcatalog. After the contest, I would still implement them here unless of course I won and the rules stated I couldn't copy it anymore. :)
